In this article it tells of some different things that you can implement into your church so that you can have your people ready to stand against the lies, and trickery of cults. This article is a great read and the ideas that are used in the article I believe will help to build a more soild sunday school class based stongly on the WORD OF GOD. Do not let the church take the idea of cults and their practices lightly. This is an area where satan can use his lies and deciet to atract even the people that are sitting in the pews next to you. sons of God vs. Aliens

I was looking through Watchmen Fellowships website and ran across a very interesting article about Genesis 6:4 where it mentions “sons of God”. In the article it speaks of three different views on the “sons of God” quote. Some would find it hard to believe that there are people in our society that use this passage to give evidence that there was an existence of “ancient extraterrestrial astronauts”(Aliens). Also at the watchmen fellowship website you can check out an article on How cults twist scripture. In the article about sons of God it speaks of misinterpretation as the key to confused ideas. It reads that you have to look at the passage in a biblical world view. While the Bible has made several references to angels, demons, and humans not once does it speak of extraterrestrials. This would lead be to understand that it was probably not in the authors intentions to mean Aliens but most likely to mean something else.

Cultic Brainwashing

I was looking through some articles at Watchmen Fellowships website http://www.watchmen.org, and I stumbled onto an article dealing with, mind control and the Cults (http://www.watchman.org/cults/usemindcontrol1.htm). The article speaks of way’s that cults can easily influence a persons world and way’s in which that can be done. I took special interest in the part of the Article where he said that college students where a target for cult recruiters. The college student is very vulnerable because they do not have their support group of Friends, family, and the church. The article reads that there are different areas of life that the cult can change or control rather that would make the cult seem as if they are the only friends and loved ones that you have. In this article it speaks of how a cult can begin to reach a person and change them through an isolation process. I had once heard that if something is secret it can’t be good. The Bible teaches that we are to be the salt and the light of the world. This was a passage in the article and it is used to show that we are not to be isolated from the world we are to be a part of it. Remember that Satan is the father of all lies. In the garden of Eden he made his lies sound good then and very pleasing. He is still at work to this day lying, deceiving , and trying to make it sound great.
